Easy White Totoro

This cute guy is so fast to wip up that you will be speachless and he is super cute!

At almost 9 inches tall with soft fuzzy white yarn he is the perfect snuggle pal.

What do you need?


1 white 150 g of Bernat blanket yarn (this can make multiple ones)

8 mm crochet hook

stuff animal stuffing

2 snap eyes


For this pattern we start at the ears and work our way down.

crochet in the round, to do decreases I recommend the invisible decrease stitch.

ears (make 2)

Round 1) magical circle with 4 sc (4)

Round 2) {2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next stitch} 2 times (6)

Round 3) {2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next 2 stitch} 2 times (8)

Round 4-7 sc in each stitch (8)

for first ear fasten off and leave a tail long enough to attach the middle part of the ears together.

When completed second ear take the tail of the first ear and push it through the stitch right behind the hook (this stitch and the one behind it will be the middle part of the ear).

Round 8 sc in each stitch around the 2 ears, do not do the 2 middle stitches (14)

Sew the middle of the ears together with the tail from the first ear.

Round 9 sc in each stitch (14)

Round 10 {2 sc in next stitch, 6 sc in next stitch} 2 times (16)

This is the round where the eyes are.

Round 11 sc in each stitch (16)

Round 12 sc in each stitch (16)

Round 13 Sc in each stitch (16)

Stuff the ears a little bit because it is hard to do it latter.

Round 14 {2 sc in next stitch, 7 sc in next stitch} 2 times (18)

Round 15 sc in each stitch (18)

Round 16 sc in each stitch (18)

Round 17 { sc 2 together, 1 sc in next stitch} 6 times (12)

Stuff the totoro.

Round 18 { sc 2 together, 2 sc in next stitch} 3 times (9)

Round 19 { sc 2 together, 1 sc in next stitch} 3 times (6)

Round 20 { sc 2 together} 3 times (3)

Fasten off and sew the remaining hole together.

Congratulations you now have a Totoro!
